Reef's End Lodge is located on the southern tip of Tobacco Caye, and has quite arguably some of the best views of any of the accommodations on the island. Reefs End Lodge has a restaurant/bar that sits out over the water and provides some nice views of the reef.

The accommodations consist of a lodge style building with eight rooms. With the exception of being a bit larger, the rooms in the lodge building are fairly consistent with the rest of the accommodations on the island. Each of the rooms have two double beds, and one single bed, as well as a private bathroom. Although other guide books and the web sites indicate that there is hot water, the person who showed us the rooms indicated that this was not the case, so if this is a requirement, you may want to ask.

In addition to the lodge building there are also three cabanas, with the Honeymoon Suite Cabana being the nicest of the accommodations on the island. If you require your comforts, book the Honeymoon Suite, it even has air conditioning. All of the cabanas also have private baths.

On my last visit to Tobacco Caye in October 2010, unlike the other lodges on the island, Reef's End Lodge had not recovered from the last hurricane and was in need of some significant maintenance and also had no power. On a prior visit to the island the owner inidcated the lodge was having some financial trouble, so ibefore making a reservation here you may want to verify the status of the facility in advance. We will of course update this information on our next visit scheduled for 2011.
